Wing Mirror replacement part number

Hi guys,

I have a Toyota Yaris Hybrid from 2014 Excel trim with folding mirrors.

It is damaged beyond economical repair, and I need a new one. Looking online, I can see that based on my VIN, and I can get 879400DB90 (from https://www.carparts-catalogs.com/), which should match my car perfectly.

I also found 879400DB60, which looks the same, but I am unsure what the difference is between 60 and 90. Can someone please shed some light?

Is the 879400DB90 an old part number that has been replaced with 879400DB60?

Thank you,

Dave

Last letters can be exterior paint codes. If you are after a mirror only buy original Toyota, new or used from eBay it’s still the better option.  Aftermarket doesn’t fit well and then the glasses are often really poor and you will see nothing.

Could those last two numbers designate left and right? That link dosn't work properly, can't see any mirrors.

I fitted an aftermarket(eBay special) door mirror to my car after some twonk damaged the original in a car park, their glassses must have been poor!

It fits and functions the same as that it replaced. I had to paint the plastic cover that came in primer only.

Is it worth paying inflated new"genuine" prices for a 10 years old car? Used eBay is a good option as Tony advises.

Definitely, but the one that I found on eBay ends in 60, hence asking the question. They look the same, but I want to make sure that I have the same functionality.

It is the whole wing mirror assembly. The covers are fine, the glass is good, and the indicator cover will be replaced as that got damaged too.

87940-0DB90, Heated folding mirror. You can only buy a full mirror, or a glass (cover separate)

They do not seem to be the same.

The wing mirror in the car park is 87940-0DB90 and the other one on the table is 87940-0DB60.

Thank you so much. I guess that is £380 without VAT?

Posted a picture with the difference between 90 and 60 above.

You are overthinking it, they are not the same mirror, if a part number is different it will be because there is a material difference and might not interchange, price is plus VAT

Bottom picture looks like manual fold mirror with heating but without e motor.
You need electric folding mirror for excel. eBay has few options.

As above don't overthink it

87940-0DB90 is the item you require (lh mirror, with heat, with auto fold)

to give you a rough breakdown of the part number the first 5 digits are a Group code

87910 - 87 is the group for mirrors, 910 shows it is an RH outer rear view mirror

87940 - 87 is the group for mirrors, 940 shows it is an LH outer rear view mirror

the next 5 digits are the specification codes

colour codes are added to the end of the 10 digits (not applicable to the mirrors)

let's use an LH mirror cover as an example

87945-0D180-J0

J0 - colour code 8T7 (island blue)

with a substituted part of

87945-0D909 (note. the no colour code)

this cover comes unpainted

these systems are very complex with their own nomenclature, and it takes time to learn and understand them

ps. What is wrong with the mirror, unless it's a hard impact they usually push/clip back together

Yo do know parts king is one of the most prolific and helpful posters on this forum, works for a dealer and is regularly providing assistance to members?

He's neither posted a link, affiliate or otherwise, or a Web address.

Think you need to delete or adjust your comment as it's unnecessary and misleading.

Toyota Owners Club is owned by Auto Clubs International, who operate in a number of countries and have a number of owners clubs, not just Toyota.  For example in the UK, they also have the Lexus Owners Club, the Beemer Owners Club and the Ford Owners Club.

As regards Toyota Owners Club, there are less than a handful of members who regularly contribute  and who work for Toyota or Toyota dealers.  Parts-King and Devon Aygo provide comprehensive and valued advice to members as regards parts, fitting, etc.

Regardless of what happens on Greek websites (Toyota Owners Club is UK based), where prices are mentioned in their posts, these should be valid at any UK Toyota dealer, and members are free to purchase said parts from the UK dealer of their choice. Obviously prices may vary in other countries.

Please return to the topic subject.

I strongly advise everyone to avoid this seller.

I ordered a plain, unpainted power folding door mirror ffor a MK2 2013-2019 Auriss, at 9am on a Saturday just gone. The website said "IN STOCK". It states FREE STANDARD DELIVERY. When I phoned on Thursday to ask why it hadn't arrived, they rather sheepishly gave me the excuse 'they'd had a sudden rush of orders for this part', although the website said "IN STOCK". Apparently it was in stock on Thursday and ready for dispatch. It's now Sunday (8days later), and I don't have the goods. Although it's free standard delivery they've still charged me £4.50 for shipping and handling. They said they had it on Thursday, it's 48hr tracked (I haven't received a tracking number, and their customer service have ignored my two e-mails), and supposedly dispached on Thursday, according to the man on the phone, yet it didn't arrive on Saturday. So I wonder what's next, maybe they'll blame Royal Mail?

I have to drive up to Warrington on the motorway tomorrow with a badly vibrating driver's door mirror. I'm now wishing I'd bought a cheap, non power fold mirror on e-bay and taken my time to find a reliable seller. At least I'd have a received it by now.

Better get your money back and buy Toyota original used from eBay
Non original body parts including lights doesn’t fit well and often does not perform as well. Mirrors particularly are one of these parts and I had always troubles with those.

For Sure. I will do it through my credit card. Speaking with them on Thursday they said that they'd received the wing mirror, and that it would be despatched that day and he confirmed I would receive it on Saturday. I also received an e-mail from them telling me "

"Guest,
Your order #xxxxxxxxx has been updated with a status of Ready for Dispatch (Royal Mail).
If you have questions about your order, you can email us at customersupport@buyitonline.ltd."

The e-mail domain "buyitonline.ltd" tells me it's not the supplier of wing mirrors but an associate seller, similar to those on e-bay who take orders and payment for parts shipped from China.

You are correct, I did read on Trustpilot that someone said the OEM power adjust mirror they purchased from this seller had a limited range of movement compared to the original.
