Yeah. I reckon the A pillar too. I`m not fitting it till the weekend so i`ll have a play around in the meantime. I was thinking i`d put it centrally on top of the dash, Angled toward me. And have oil pres and oil temp on the A pillar. But not got oil gauges yet. :D

P.S.

Dont need to deter them. Just let them bring it on and..... Humiliate them.

whats wrong with the original boost gauge in the gt4 ??

I hear its un accurate , but it cant be that bad - can it ?

ooh

The A pillar is fine for visability but it does promote that your car has mods - I dont know but it might attract thieves

It is fairly accurate, but, very slow reacting.

Also i`m running 15psi boost and the original guage goes off the scale at about 8psi.

I`ve had a cheap after market 52mm guage mounted on the A pillar which is fine. But it`s white faced which i personally dont like. Also i think the 80mm one will possibly get in the way.

I`ll just fiddle around until i think it`s ok. :D

It's about as much use as a punch in the face!

It reads from - to + (- to + what?) and moves very slowly (my petrol gauge moves faster when on boost :D ). I think it was designed that way as the fast-reacting way a proper boost gauge behaves was probably deemed worrying to the average joe who might buy a GT4.

As to placement, just shove it somewhere you can see it, though with an 80 mm gauge that shouldn't be too difficult! 80 mm is prob too big to put on your A-pliiar, why not put it in the vent on the right-hand side of the steering wheel?

An 80mm boost guage... are you blind or something?? What a monster... Ive got a 2" oil press. and boost autometer jobs going into my centre vent at the moment its a squeeze but it will go... just making up the foam pod for them before the carbon goes on ;) ... its great having contacts in the boatbuilding industry. And yeha the factory one is a bit of a token attempt to show that there is actually a turbo in there... I wouldnt even call it a guage!!!
