Celica St183 (4ws)

I have a 1993 Celica ST183 4WS , and it seemed there's split in the steering gaiter (driver's side) and steering fluid's leaking through it. Should there be steering fluid in the gaiter in the first place, or should it be grease? Could it be that the steering rack oil seal’s worn, causing fluid to leak into the gaiter? Is the replacement gaiter the same as the British spec Celica?

Any help would be appreciated - thank you.

I dont know for certain but I'd say it wouldn't be any different. Maybe someone could check out this part number for you 45535-16020 (boot steering rack no.2)

my epc lists my uk 1995 , gaitors as 45535 nothing more.other side is 45536
