Im after a touchscreen for the car, I can only find 7" and 8" for £220 inc VAT and Postage

where can I find a cheaper one?

also venture to eBay.com in the states as you can sometimes grab a bargain (even better if it dodges customs!)

but beware of it being NTSC if your using PAL

but i dont think you should get a problem with that these days most screens can switch between the two

I paid £230 for my 7" touchscreen .. it's a fold away one with USB and a few RCA connectors and will do 1200x1600 @ 60hz ..

Was not eBay .. but a company in the US ..

It slides out horizontally out the case and then pivots vertical

Buy an old Itronix Go book laptop for about £200 and gut it lose the keyboard, run tablet windows, get a USB GPS antenna and voila, nice screen, full pc, mega MP3 player, get a DVD drive and you have movies... the works!

I have no idea where the screen will be or where the PC will be

the screen will probably be in the car when Im there (Plug and Play)

do IR CCTV Camera give off red light or clear light(Infared)

decided to go for fanless motherboard to save Battery and set the CCTV to 1FPS so that 20GB will last 2months

solid state media is probably out of the question cos I need space, so its gonna be either a 3.5 or 2.5(laptop) hard drive

lilliput one seems to be the fave choice at the mo'. im gonna get one too.
