Differences Bnetween Gt Ss1, 2 & 3 Please!

Hi All,

Am looking at buying a Celica.

I have the option of a real stunning GT4, 38k, 2 owners, standard except a dump valve & boost gauge. L-reg, immaculate body work except one very small parking dent on the off side wing which I can get sorted for free.

I know the guy who's had the car for the last 12 months/12k miles, through a mate of mine at work. Does £5,700 seem a fair price??

Also what are the differences between SS1, 2 & 3, GT ST etc?

If theres too much detail to go into regarding the various models, can anyone point me in the direection of websites that detail it.

If its the ST205 (GT4 with round lights) then its a bargin and assuming its as mint as you say then its a steal...

if on the other hand is the ST185 (GT4 with pop up lights) then tell him kindly to stop taking rubbish :!Removed!: ... as for £6k you cant get a very good condition ST205!

Yes it is a st205 (round lights) and it is pretty hot.

Are they all imports? How can I check?

uk models ended in 1996 .if it is uk model vin plate will be 17 digits.

i have the chance of a 1994 gt4 gen 6 which is priced at 6k , also a wrc lightweight model for 7k also 1994.thats a garage ,so private sale suppose you can take between 500 and 1000 off the marked price.

It was a toss up between the GT4 and the MR2 Turbo for me..

38k sugests its an import for sure.

mr2 is no good to me , wife = big shopper

kids and 2 dogs. = hair and tears.

gt4 or supra = me very happy bunny,wife buys mail order,dogs dont get walks and kids get a taxi.
