Should think your car will be pretty much unique over here. I prefer the xA myself and that new tC looks cool!

Well I know of 2 xB's here now. We would like to take them to a meet (since they are identical). Can someone tell me where I could find listings/locations/etc???? :help:

  • 1 month later...

I'm an xB driver!

But I'm in the States, also a Scionlife member!

UK & Europe people: Think of the xB as a really boxy Yaris Verso 1.5 with a stiff suspension and short final drive to make it a bit quicker. That's essentially what it is.

i think they are great!

shame the TC is US only

The tC is, for all intents and purposes, an Avensis coupe with some handsome restyling.

Yep. bB OpenDeck is cool, we don't get them in the States though, only the regular estate/wagon style, which is really more useful in everyday life.

Here's your OpenDeck:

Yeh... love 'em or hate 'em, but you can't ignore them.

They look like nothing else on the road.

They make tons of parts and bits for them over in Japan. There is even an AWD version for the JDM!

The American version comes with the 1.5 and either 5 speed or auto and in one spec only, which is pretty well loaded with TRAC, stability control, EBD, full power and a 160 watt 6 speaker CD/stereo that plays MP3 CD's and is XM satellite radio ready. Not bad for $14k U.S.

Yep, tC was designed specifically for the American market and its the only place it's sold. Basically a coupe based on the Avensis, but with all new, sexy coupe sheetmetal.

Comes with a 2.4 liter, 160 hp and a wicked cool two section sunroof and dashboard pieces made from actual aluminum (much nicer than silver plastic)

I've never seen the OpenDeck before - it's great

If you want one over here then I guess that in most cases you're better off importing a Bb from Japan!

Are you coming to JAE - it would be good to have a nosey about them.

hhmmppphh, you lot get the best.

why they dont import them here i dont know! :(

Funny. That's what we all say about Europe.

The Scions are one of the few exceptions. For the most part you have MUCH more to choose from there and much more interesting choices. You actually have the option of importing cars from Japan or elsewhere. If you live in the "freedom-loving" United States, that is out of the question.

We have a great selection of huge, hulking, poorly engineered SUV's and trucks that handle like farm equipment and go through fuel faster than a Kuwaiti oil well fire though. Lucky us.

You can import what you like though, so why not get a bB or bB OpenDeck from the JDM, if you want.

You could bring over a tC if you liked, but there is no right hand drive version in existance so you'd be stuck with LHD.
