Do I Need Crossovers? I Had A Crash

Hey there, i have a pair of these Speakers in the front of my car:

Alpine: SXS-1357 - 13cm components :P

I am going to amp them up with two 100w max power outputs. Just wondering, do i need to get some crossovers as they don't have any. If so, can i just use some cheap £5 crossovers of e-bay or do i need some alpine one at £35 quid?

I spose at the moment, that the standard h/u wires are conencted to the speaker, and then the a cable connects the tweeter to the back of the speaker? :help:

Any help most appreciated..

Cheers

Richard

P.S. Car at garage :crybaby: , had a collision and needs new bonnet, bumpers, lights, crash bar and a few bits and bobs in the engine, so when it comes back ill celebrate its return with wiring up my amp to the Front :) Speakers,

Can you connect an amp to the standard Head Unit? Im thinking of Alpine Speakers and amping them up on the standard TS Head Unit.

i havn't done that as i have an aftermarket h/u but i believe you can get an autoleads adaptor that allows you to connect an amp to the standard h/u.

im sure they will, also when i do this, i will take photographs and write a little how to guide on running an amp from the boot to front Speakers and h/u from front to back Speakers.

oh and i have another question :help: , the current Speakers wires in the door, which is positive and which is negative? Looking at seveer unaek's speaker installation guide, the wires are red and blue.
