Powder Coating

Ive just found out the Wolfrace have discontinued the black Matrix wheels.

But mymate said buy the cheapest wheels in alloy and get them powder coated.

What do you reckon?

Has anyone ever done this, if so what was the out come, good or bad.

I would personally never go anywhere near "cheap alloy wheels"

they tend to break under load!!

Not cheap as in "cheap and nasty" £50 per wheel.

The cheapest one in the wolfrace matrix range which would be 18" in the normal alloy costing about £900

my neighbour just powdercoated his bike wheels - looks great, easy to clean, unlikely to peel (apparently), and cheap!
