Has Anyone Contacted The Previous Owner?

I recently received my log book, and as you know, it has the previous keeper's name and address.

Should I ask them what problems (if any) the Yaris had etc... ?

I bought the Yaris from a Toyota Dealer.

Do you think I'll find some 'hidden' history that the Dealer hasn't told me about ?

To be fair, they did provide a fresh MOT and a Service stamp.

BTW, did the Dealer really service the car ?

What proof do I have that they did ?

Thanks guys (and gals) :)

My last Yaris was sold at auction by my insurers and the new owner tried to contact me for keys..... we suspect he rang Listers, where I bought the car from originally and they gave him my details, well actually my parents details, and he rang them to find me.

He wouldnt leave any details though for me to call him which I found very dodgy and he said he would call back, but he never did. I wouldnt have minded if he did, but I was annoyed that Listers had supplied him my personal details.

What would you do if someone who has just bought your previous car phoned you up for any info you could give them? of course, you would anwer any questions they have about the car.. so the previous owner of your car will probably do the same. Won't hurt to give them a call.. i do.

What do I think of the IS ?

Too juicy, too slow. Boot too small. alloys corrode. Clunky box.

Looks great. Love straight 6.

Good value.

Am 99% certain that for a private company for them to have given your personal details to someone else over the phone they are in breach of the Data Protection Act. If someone has your details from the P5 ok plain and simple.

I'ld be getting in touch ni an angry voice and asking for some free toys :D
