Adjusting The Boot Struts?

Hello all :)

Great forum btw.

I'm am the proud owner of a 92 Carina Gti the only fault on which seems to be that the boot isn't flush with the light fittings when closed. On the right hand side there is a gap of about 1cm where the lights on the boot are proud by about 1cm..

Hope this makes sense - I wondering - does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the boot so that it will fit flush?

It doesn't let water in or rattle so its not the end of the world!
