Funny Beeping After Switching Off Engine

I need help My 1996 Carina E is gr8 but its recently developed a fault. After I switch the engine off and wait a few minutes I get an intermittment load beep which appears to come form the off side front (behind headlamp) area. IT doesntalways happen and it stops once the ngine is running. It has nothing to do with the warning buzzer that says headlights are on.

Any tips on tracking this fault down appreciated

Does it have an alarm (Toyota one)?

On my T Sport, if one of the doors isn’t shut properly, even the boot or bonnet, and I set the alarm a beep is heard to warn me that a door is ajar.

Make sure the bonnet connector for the alarm (if you have one) is closing properly, in fact check on all the doors.
