Long Time No See!

Hey guys :)

Long time no see! how is everyone!??

I haven't been on for ages as I have been working on my music, and haven't really had time! :(

Hope everyone is keeping well!

I just have a quick question really, to do with Oil removal ..

My car was leaking oil all over my driveway (I have since fixed the problem :D) but I need to try and clean it off now ..

I was just curious as to what is best to remove oil from concrete?

Is there anything that breaks it down quite well? as it would obviously be pointless just using water!!!hehe

Cheers in advance!

Dave

alright mate. i was wondering where you had gone.

i used washing up liquid. that seemed to work pretty well. or a pressure washer

It's called "Oil-dry" Looks a bit like cat litter, you put it over the patch and work it in (like doing the twist) after that just sweep it up.

Hiya stranger..

What about cat litter itself? I've heard it's good..altho that may be when the oil is more "wet" and newly leaked instead of when it's been there for a while? Still it's cheap enough either way ;)

Hmmm I dont reckon cat litter would work as its designed to soak up water - and oil is thicker than water.....

If my cats ever secrete oil I'll do a test  , but I reckon the stuff Les suggested is good - I remember my uncle using it once for a similar problem...

Welcome back btw bud!

Cat litter does work..

My and my dad were doing some testing when the oil leaked out of the oil compresser thing..

like 20 litres of the stuff.. doh!

But we got about 4 massive bags of cat litter and that did the trick.. let it soak up then throw away then clean as normal.

To be honest cats can't tell the difference either, we had one at the place I worked and it was quite happy to do its dumps in oil dry ;)

oil dry is superb, but not on dried in oil! needs to still be moist

it has a special dry solvent that breaks down the oil

Hah Russ wouldn't be too happy at that :)

This oil is dried in, been there for a few months now ..

Would Oil-Dry be the best bet then?
