With previous fuel pricing problems people suggested trying to use one major forecourt supplier...

Looks like someones getting of their backside and trying it, may not be useful now but worth a look and maybe useful in the long run :D

It's one of those that it may turn out to be nothing or it may turn out to be a superb idea, trouble is unless people register it'll never amount to anything....

I'm willing to give it a go as it involves nothing other than free registration and in principle is a good idea :D

Looks good :)

Anyone else spot in the paper today that Asda dropped the price of unleaded to 87.9p and within an hour Tesco followed suit yesterday? Others are also meant to follow this weekend too...

Hi

An interesting idea and it's good to see someone making an effort to reduce fuel costs.

I do have a few questions though;

- If the majority of custom is directed at one chain that negotiates a discount for members, where would they stand with Anti Competition laws? Surely if a substantial amount of consumers are enticed towards one particular brand, the government will crack down on this due to unfair distribution of revenue.

- I would be extremely wary of giving one corporation such consumer power. Although there is an immediate benefit at the pumps, what other areas would this impact upon. The environment? Fuel development? Research into alternatives?

I'm not disagreeing with the concept, but I'm more interested in the bigger picture before I sign up.

Thanks.
