hi..

Are the TRD panel filters anygood, and what affect can i expect to see on the car if ones installed?

did a quick search and saw results for a CTS, looked good but as the yaris is a smaller engine i expect it will behave differantly.

You might gain 1-2bhp but you will be very lucky to notice that, instead you'll feel that the throttle response is improved as more air is flowing, but to make the most of this you'll need a new exhaust or de-cat your current exhaust so you let more out also.

The K&N filter is quite good i've heard, retails about £50ish

Im looking into changing my fiter, would a panel filter, still give a roar???

Not really, it may a little but if its a roar you want its best to go the indution kit route.... sorry

Is checking / changing the air filter a home DIY job or would I need to take it to a dealer?

I have a JR panel filter fitted to my TS Yaris. I definitely notice a differece in the sound. Not sure it's a roar though...

Installation and maintenance are a breeze. DIY all the way!
