hi as this is the same engine that is in the Yaris, does anyone know how they have restricted the engine to only 55bhp. when the Yaris pumps out 90 bhp

different ecu. or restricted induction :crybaby:

no the Hdi unit is a french engine (peugeot/citroen unit) not the one on the yaris!

could be different head/valve size/diesel pump ,probably mate but dont know really! maybe some one else could help you more

I think I have an answer:-

This appears to suggest that the 70bHp engine is used on the C2, and the 55bHp engine is used on the C1/107/Aygo, which is a lighter engine.

I did read somewhere that the engine is debousted to extend the life of the transmission.
