Hello all,

I am new to this forum. In fact new to post :) . I have read this forum about 1 month regularly.

Oppinions from here had a contribution to the decision to buy new avensis.

Now I have 800KM and I am happy with the car.

I have several issues I would like to get your oppinion:

1) The CD do not eject after 1 hour play.

I didn't notticed this problem until now because I drived only

inside the city and the CD played no more then half hour continuously.

Today I made a trip. I prepared a lot of CD's but surprise:After the first

CD has finished I couldn't eject it for 20 minutes.

This problem is really frustrating.

Somebody meet this problem and solved it?

This should be covered under warranty no?

2) When I start the car after was parked, at low speed 10 KM/h, I hear a metallic clank

just once. Is this noremal?

Finally the car is fine and I like it. I hope my problems will be solved so I can fully enjoy it.

just once. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal. All of Avensis have it. I have had the same doubt at beginning but not anymore. I guess it's ABS doing release (or it was TRC, don't remember anymore)

Thank you. Good news that this is not a problem.

Do you know about the CD problem. Does anybody had it?

I searched this forum about it but nothing.

Clunk I understand is the traction control doing some sort of test.

It is worse when you press the brake pedal just as the test is being done-shudder through the pedal but nothing to worry about!

Thank you. I just read it in the manual. You are right about the noise.

What about the CD? This problem is only happening to me?

I've never heard about eject CD problem in new Avensis. Go back to your dealer. As I understood you've got a new car, right? So, it's under warranty. Ask them to change the unit. It's quick work, but I guess they have to order it as they don't keep them in the stock. Before you go, make sure you see how it refuse to eject, as you'll have to show it to your dealer. Don't worry, it's just bad luck. I have bad luck with alarm. They took it off and sent it to manufacturer and now I'm waiting for replacement.

Good luck and keep posting
