Ee111 Fog Lamps

Got a 1998 EE111 and I recently obtained a pair of Toyota fog lamps to suit. After checking the EPC I bought a pair of mounting brackets and set to work on the grille with my trusty hacksaw. The lamps are now in place and I have connected the relevent fly-leads, but now I'm stuck.

According to EPC the lamps are fed from a relay that plugs into the junction block that sits behind the switch panel to the right of the steering wheel. I've checked this out and fitting the relay looks straightforward enough but that will still leave me with the problem of switching the lights on and off.

On factory fitted systems this is done by means of an extra switch on the LH column stalk- retro fitting sounds complex and expensive so does anyone know of an alternative solution? I REALLY don't want to have to set about the loom with a Stanley knife :-( Any thoughts or advice more than welcome
