Celica Alarm

Hello,

I am a new Toyota owner, having purchased a used 1991 Celica recently. I love the car!

It came equipped with a factory alarm, but no owners manual. I would like to know if there is any way to disable the alarm from setting every time you close the door? Does anyone know where I can purchase an owners manual?

Hi,

I have the reverse problem - I have a 1996 Camry with a dealer installed alarm system. (the keytag has PURSUIT) on it - No manual was provided by the dealer.

Recenty - the alarm stopped self-activating (i.e. you have to manually lock the car -whereas it used to auto-arm itself after 30 seconds or so) - also the chirping (or bark) is gone when the system arms itself.

I THINK this happened when we pressed the keytag buttons in some strange order - and now we can not get it back into self-arming mode.

If you find a good place to get a hold of the user manual or to determine EXACTLY what type of alarm we have - please let me know and I'll do the same.
