ive been researching a few engine swaps for my 92 seo and have came accrossed a few options. I was wondering what you guys thought about each of the following, and if you have any info on which will pack the biggest bang for my buck so to speak. I dont really want to mod much of the front end to fit the engine in so which of the 3 do you guys feel would be the best bet. Im guessing ill have to either find a manual seo first, itll be cheaper to buy a new 1 then to convert it but still a little knowledge couldnt hurt

+ 4-age silvertop

+ 3sgte

+4efte Turbo

also what would you guys suggest for mounting a turbo onto the stock 5efe engine if anything at all, im not looking to dump a huge amount of money into the car as far as horsepower goes, just want to make it a little more fun to drive :D thanks in advance for any and all responses

TBH the best swap there is the 4efte - or creating a hybrid 5efte.

both the 4age & 3sgte need the engine mounts fabricated & from memory the 3sgte nees some of the bulkhead redesigned.

if Backyard productions are still trading give them a call. The've done some mental swaps onto Tercels before.

for the 3s-gte you will need very deep pockets, but it will give the most reliable power

well since these guys convinced me to keep the paseo and get rid of the starlet I decided to pull out the 4efte and straight swap it in, then sold the gt off to the wreckers for $900. Goes well enough for now but I still need to do a few things before I really try it out, fuel pump and all that. Now the 5e-fe is being rebuilt after finally finding someone who will forge pistons and sourced out some Sera conrods. Putting in a big copper head gasket and using RX7 13bt injectors, Motec M4, should be beasty when it's ready to come back again
