Paseo Exhaust Issue.

Basically, i replaced all the exahust system, 2" catback, high flow muffler, new extractors. Now, ever since the extractors went on ive noticed a significant reduction in power. My assumption is that ive created too much of a nonrestrictive environment for the exhaust, hence not providing enough back pressure on the engine to deliver the power it used to.

Now, solutions? I dont really want to have to change anything more on the exhaust to create more restriction (because that would simply mean all the upgrades were a complete waste of money), but was hoping to maybe use it to my advantage by creating more exhaust perhaps?

Any reasonable/cost effective solutions would be great.

Thanks

James

I think the power loss will be due to the valve timing and lift now being unsuited to the reduced back pressure. In effect, some inlet gases may be flowing straight through the cylinder head and out the exhaust, because there's less back pressure to keep them there.

It's just possible that a set of 5EFHE camshafts would help you.
