;) Hi i brought my celica recently and am having trouble finding out what it is i am told by dvla it is a st202 ss3 but yet after looking on this forum i am unshure is there any one who knows its a jdm but is 97 n reg cheers

Hi just out of interest, how comes you're unsure? What has led you to think it's something different to what the DVLA says it is?

This might be best asked in the Celica section. I'm sure a few pictures and more details would help those in the know.

call your local toyota dealer, ask to speak to parts

give them your vin number and chassis number, asK them to bring it up on their system and tell you what it is. Thats one way.

If you have the Red top engine with BEAMS written on it then its deffo an SS3, some ss3's dont have the beams engine though.

You can get SS3 celicas even from 1996 onwards. However, to get the beams engine (red top), which is 200ps, it needs to be at least 1998-1999 model.
