Not sure if there is anyone on here who can offer advice/help but anything would be appreciated...

My mother has recieved a couple of nasty emails from an email on yahoo mail along with a few other members of the arts community she is a member of. Is there anything that can be done to try and get more information on the account the mail is coming from or is it just a case of blocking and rebounding the emails...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Get the mail headers which should reveal the original sender's IP - then do a reverse lookup on the IP which will tell you where its coming from.....

yeah, you can do a 'WhoIS' search if you can extract the full header information.

If the threats were bad enough, she can take both of these to the police who will investigate it as any other threat (and can contact the ISP - which the IP address will point to) and find the individual that sent them.
