anyone knows from where I can buy an aftermarket manifold, not a standard one though..

someone told me a manifold from a YRV will fit and its bigger, but I'm not sure.. I just want to gain some more power instead of tha small standard 4 in 1 manifold...

preferably buying one not too much expensive like HKS, TRD like that...

10x

I don't think anyone makes one for the 1.0ltr, it will probably have to be custom

Yes, the YRV engine is base on the 2SZ-FE engine, which is essentially the same as the 1SZ-FE, bar the internals etc, but I don't see it fitting tbh. And as far as I know, the best bet is to go custom for the 1.0l engine

Its about a half an hour job for a decent garage - or you could do it yourself. The main issue is getting the securing bolts loose as they've been hot and seized accordingly...

Cheers clarky, i will probably get garage to do it as if its done wrong then it wont be good lol and if its only half an hour job then they cant charge that much!

Clarky, if you were to remove a manifold myself how would i get the seized on bolts off? Also do you need to reseal the pipe work, how and with what? Cheers

U need a good set of sockets - some release spray and patience I guess.

When I first got mine I took it down to the local place and they said 'no problem - leave it with us and come back in an hour'... three hours later they gave up. (they were supposedly and exhaust specialist!)

This put me off no end - took it to envy whilst other stuff was being done - by the time I got to the top of the stairs to the office to say hi to Kevin I heard the clang as the old pipe came off. 20mins later the new one was on with Kevs mechanic laughing when I told him...

The manifold comes with two gaskets - one for either end and these are what makes the seal complete. I think its two bolts at the lower end and four at the engine...

that help?
