Hi All.

I have a Carina E GS 1997 with a problem. When I switch on he lights the side lights work ok but when I switch to headlights nothing happens. I can move the stick to full beam when it is in the headlight position and they come on. I have had to use the car this evening with full beam on but the adjuster turnrd down. I asked the local Toyota dealer who said that he did not know what the problem is. Can anyone give me an idea of the cause.

It could feasibly be the switch on the stalk, or a bad earth somewhere - but Like Jim I'm baffled as to why Toyota couldn't help you.
