I just got my 86 GT-S is black whith gray interior very clean inside & out with 152k .But the only problem that it has when i shift to 2nd it makes a short grinding noise,if i shift very slow and low rpm it dosen't do it.I don't know if it is in need of a clucth kit or the syncros in the tranny are going bad. Can someone help . Thanks

Change the tranny fluid. Try a lighter oil. I had the same grinding in my tranny when shifting into 4th and 5th. I changed the fluid to Amsoil series 2000 20w50 and the problem has gone away.

yeap! you guys are on the money! I got the tranny fluid replaced and still the same problem so I'am looking in to get the tranny rebuild. thanks!
