Go to a few bodyshops and get quotes, see what the prices are.

Fair enough you dont want to pay your excess, if you did go through your own insurance then you would most likely loose some/all NCB - dependant on amounts along with get an increase in your premium.

Compare the two and see what the best option is....oh and insurance companies can deal with your own choice of garage too if you dont want to use an approve repairer.

Update: I've managed to pull out the dint but I dont think I can sort out the creases. I too scared to wind the window done incase if the side impact bars are bent

I know someone who parks across 2 spaces everytime he goes to tesco's so that no one parks near him!

Pretty bad when people are looking for a space and he has 2. He drives a green scooby so look out for him.

I'm guilty of this!! I tend to park over two spaces if I can.... if people weren't so stupid as to open their doors into peoples cars, or let their kids slam the doors open, or are stupid enough not to hold the door when it's windy!!!!.... I wouldn't do it. :)

people like you should have your car clamped for misusing the carpark, well thats what would happen if you parked your car like that in Manchester. LOL

It not gone well today

Dent Devils never bothered to turn up, they just called to say they wont do it.

UltraValeting visited the car, but he cant sort it out

Kingston Dent Specialists are too busy, they cant book the car in til two weeks time

The Car Hospital - need to take my car in to see if they can sort it out

I also do it....... whenever I can. Some may see it as selfish, but I am sure anyone that has had door dings on their car will agree with me that it is far less selfish then damaging someone's pride and joy!! If people were not so careless we would not have to do it.

I find it infuriating that my car has factory paint, at the ripe age of just under 19 years and it would be PERFECT if it was not for the incosiderate *****s that have opened their doors onto it..

I never do it but I am very particular to where I park, I also see if the same cars are still parked round me when I get back!

In Hull they have a Colours Pages instead of a Yellow Pages, eventhough its still on yellow paper.

After playing hide & seek with chipsaway, they told me that they can't look at the car till Monday.

however, I did find one other place who were bothered to look at the car, Taylors, but they want £400 + vat and they want the car for two days

I cant afford that, I've got a few other things to pay for such as 2 months rent, road tax, car insurance
