Can anyone tell me if on a avensis 2007 sedan the average speed indicator should reset after start moving (not after an engine start but shortly after I start drving). In the manual it apears it should not.

I have an older avensis 2004, It only resets when re-starting engine.

I 'don't' think it is normal for the trip meter to reset the average speed whenever the car is stationary, otherwise traffic lights, and road junctions will reset the speed?!

I have the 02-model with TNS200. I think if the Enter is pressed down (while looking at avg-speed) it will manually reset the counter. Its described in the manual if someone has it handy...

in fact the reset is after re-starting the engine AND start driving. it is weird because for the last model this is not specified in user manual.

i have the 06 model and it doesnt reset when u start the engine

but you can reset it by keeping the middle circle button down
