Hi-lux 4wd Hub

i have took the 4wd hub off on the front of my hi-lux and the spring that engages it and disengages it has snaped - any one any ideas why? and is it possible to buy the spring on its own or is is bought as a complete set

Hello hiluxman.

Chances are the spring had become brittle, have come accross this in the past,

I cant see why you shouldn't be able to replace the spring or maybe change the hub. A manual freewheeling hub is about £55 new for the HiLux pick-up and HiLux Surf

Not sure if yours is a pick-up or a surf, but you could try these people http://www.milneroffroad.com

they will be able to sort you out.
