Cruise Control?

I am about to order an Auris 1.4D4D and the dealer here doesn't import the car with a cruise control...(no optional available).

Is there a way i can install one of those universal ones(rocsta??)?

I know they are making electronic now that don't need the vacuum source so it should work on the diesel.

Or is there a way i can get the Toyota stock parts and install them myself or a technician...??

And one more question...what's the average consumption i can expect from it?

I currently own a Golf MK4 with the 1.9TDi 90hp engine and i can get over 900-1000Km(550-620miles) easily, almost on every tank(55-60Litres) with city and highway driving.

dont know about cruise.

but i have the 1.4 d4d and i drive 90mph av on motorway and get 52-54 mpg

on the odd time (when ill) i have driven to work i have got 67mpg at 65 -70mpg

i get somewhere around 720 per tank
