Hi all,

97 Carina E 1.8 Today the ABS lit up, turned car off, started up again, fine no ABS light. The engine management light is NOT lit. Sounds to me like a faulty connection, the question is where is the best place to start ?

Cheers

And so it continues.......

Getting code 35 from the ABS ECU, which means front left/ rear right sensor(s) connector , wiring. Can anyone tell me the resistance from a healthy sensor ? I have checked the front left, the reading is about 1.623K ohms

I noticed the manufacturer of the front sensor are Bosch, will these be available from factors rather than buying from Mr T ?

The front wing underguard was a real b****r to come out.....what is the easy way to remove the screw fixings going into the wing ?

Plan to tackle the rear right tomorrow........

Cheers

  • 1 year later...

Hello, I am a new user of this site and a new Carina owner :)

So as not to start another thread, I thought I could post here. I'm having the same ABS always-on light issue. After letting the car warm up and turning the engine off and on, it usually disappears, but when it's raining it can come up again during driving. I went to a repairshop and we thought it's one of the sensors but apparently there is nothing wrong with them. Can there be another cause?
