What Oil For The 1.3 Yaris?

Going to go Halfords and get the service supplies in abit.

What oil do i need for a y reg 1.3 yaris. I dont have the manual to tell me, this is why im asking.

I can get the plugs, and filters myself, i'll just go off the flip charts they have.

Car has done 76k.

Personally I went to the toyota dealers parts deptand got the parts they actually use, you cant go wrong then .

Got the oil, filter and plugs from there it came too roughlly £45 , how much will it come too from Halfords?

5w 30 semi synthetic is what most dealers use, however, there was a thread on here recently whereby nearly all used fully synthetic. There is no requirement for fully, semi will do the job fine, ours sells for about 17.00 per 5Ltrs

I checked my Toyota service schedule the other day and found they are charging me in the regions of £27 for oil! That is product only as service is labour cost!!! I feel I may be getting overcharged, unless it is fully synthetic! :(

Like I mentioned got the oil and filter from toyota....a few pence short of £30, done the change myself.
