Import Toyota Prius,mk 1

Hi there, I have just bought a Toyota Prius, mk1 ,imported from Japan. this comes with an integral radio/cassette tape machine. I have also recently purchased a 6 CD changer, model No TM0561, part No 08601-00907.

I am informed that this is the correct part Nos for the English equivalent (Toyota/ other Prius owners) but when being professionally installed the subject loom was non-complient....(didn't work properly).

No one I have spoken to at Toyota or specialist loom companies has been able to supply the appropriate japanese loom part No'.

Are there any people who have experienced the same problem, moreover is anyone able to supply me with the possible Japanese part No' for the loom which I need.

I am more than willing to share the solution to any problems I encounter with other import Prius owners and direct them to the Toyota owner's Club.

Hi and welcome to TOC.

I've moved this to the Prius section for you as you're more likely to get a good response in there.

I am slightly surprised that it has a different loom to the UK ones though - I thought all the base cars would have the same loom - just utilising the connections needed for that particular countries requirements.
