Avensis Body, Is It Galvanized?

Hi,

Does anyone know if the Avensis (2003 onwards model) has a galvanized body? I have been told it does, however, I cannot find this confirmed anywhere.

I couldn't say for certain. But I thought pretty much all steel cars have galvanized bodies these days; I don't think there's any way they could possibly give the long guarantees that they give against rust perforation without using a galvanized body.

I imagine the reason you can't find it confirmed anywhere is that it's one of those terms the manufacturers have stopped making a big deal of because it's almost a given. It would be like them advertising the fact that it has pneumatic tyres, seat belts etc.

I have aimed the same asked Mr T's dealer here. They assured me that this model's body is galvanised. It was enough for me.

In view of your location yours must be the same.
