Brake Lights Not Working

Afternoon all,

As topic really, Both brake lights either side of the boot on my 54 T4 D4-D Hatch do not come on when the brake is pressed but the light in the rear windscreen does! I have replaced both bulbs to no avail. I would have thought if it was a broken switch or sensor that all 3 lights wouldn't come on?

Has anyone else experienced this or knows how to fix it please?

many thanks for your advice, I will try it tomorrow.

Just one other thing, I have condensation in the left hand rear light cluster, could this be the culprit?

I know all about the front lights letting in condensation but mine are fine apart from the back left.

If condensation is present in the cluster..

the bulb holders could be damaged.

Try that, if that doesnt work.

Look at the bulb holders and the wiring connectors.

Do the side lights work ?

I reseated all bulbs today and both are now working! (as well as blowing the indicator fuse when the bulb holder touched the chassis!)

I'll obviously keep an eye on it though, thanks for your advice.
