Off Hire

I've got a hire car on the 20th and the same hire car on the 24th

from the 21st to 23rd the car is off hire

am I still allowed to drive it but under my own insurance? or is it classed as stealing?

your policy will say you cannot use your own insurance for hire cars, anyway... you need the permission of the owner to use your own insurance and it only covers the person you knock over or the car you smash into.. does not cover the car your driving
