Avensis Mk1 Transmission C250 Compatability

Hello All, It seems from the hammer drill noise it makes my 1999 Avensis GS 1.8 gearbox will not last much longer and I need to find a replacement. On the label on the passenger door pillar it says: transmission - C250. Does anybody know from what car I can take gearboxes from so they fit? Avensis like mine is the natural choise but they are not that common in the breakers yards yet. As far as I know C50 from 1800 Carina E (7AFE) will do but what about C52? Cheers Nick
