Oil Consumption

Hey Guys,

I've measured the oil consumption from the max notch to the min and I can make approx 2000k miles before topping up. As anyone tried to measure it as well? Juss out of curiousity ;) My car has 80k miles.

Mines the exact same ive had my yaris from new its a 53 plate i've done about 42k miles and apart from services i have never needed to add any oil to mine

i do 8,000 a year without topping up, toyota incidently think its normal to use 1l in a 1000 miles

I always understood that to mean the oil consumption was 'acceptable' up to one litre in 1,000 miles - anything greater than this indicated work needed doing.
