False Car Alarms

Any ideas? I've had a couple of times in the last week when the car alarm has gone off in the evening. It's not been windy so I can't believe that air coming through the vents has caused the alarms. Appreciate any ideas you may have.

 They'd have to be pretty dumb though as my wife's car is parked in front of mine on the driveway.

Check for insects I had a random fly caught in my car that kept setting off the alarm.

Thanks. I'll check for flying creatures. I'm away on holiday shortly so I'll disable the intrusion detection just in case.

I had a similar problem last year, turned out to be a faulty boot catch that was causing the alarm to trigger. It was intermittent, the boot remained closed/locked however the alarm would trigger. MrT changed it under warranty, initially they could find the fault but just kept restting the alarm system, took it to them whilst the fault was happening and they found it straight away.
