New to the forum and on the beg for info already. I'm currently shooting about in a '96 Corolla Si and the brake pads and discs require replacing.

Could anyone shed any light on pitfalls which I might encounter while attempting this or any hints in general ?

No nastiness as far as i'm aware, just use lots of wd40 or similar.

two bolts top & bottom securing the bracket for your pads are generally easy to slacken

It's the two bolts holding the actual caliper on which can be quite tight, i used a breaker bar

on mine when i took them off to spray them, your disc should just come off dead easy.

:D
