Startlet Won't Start-no Lights

I am usually very happy with my 10 yr old starlet-had no problems at all with her-until yesterday.

Went to start her and nothing-no lights on dashboard and engine not even trying to turn.

Tried a push and tow to jump start-no luck.

Tried jump leads too and nothing-though not sure if they are fully functional.

Is it my battery/alternator etc-am I likely to be able to self diagnose?

Thank lots

check your positive or negative cables. check them very good make sure there clean and making a good connection. most likely your Battery took a dump witch i've seen happen very often one day it works and the next day nothing including not even taking a charge. what engine dose that starlet have?

Last time that something like your problem happened to a friend's car (a CarinaE) the problem was in the Battery. He changed the Battery and everything became ok.one of the Battery cells was broken and the battery couldn't work.
