Warranty Repairs?

Just a quick question - can anyone provide a definitive answer?

What's the story with repairs made under warranty? Are you free to try a different dealership if you don't find the answers or service you're getting from the dealer you bought the car from up to scratch? Or are you compelled to go to the dealer you bought the car from in order to get repairs done under warranty?

Please can anyone advise?

It's a manufactures warranty, you should be able to take it to any approved dealer and get it fixed. I know a bloke at work, got a VW from up north somewhere but has had a lot of warranty work done on the car, at the local dealer.

Nice one

I was hoping this would be the case, but other people I've spoken to seem to think it was tied into the garage I bought the car from.

It didn't make sense to me personally, but there you go.

I bought my car from Macclesfield and had multiple warrnty jobs done in Warrington.

You can take it to any Toyota Dealership. They have to do it, it's a Manufactures warranty, not garage :P

this is prob a daft question but do the warranty repairs have to be done at a toyota garage, kinda thinking of places like stratstone who have garages that specialise in certain makes.
