no one knows if the double din will fit.

Please someone must know

If it's a post facelift model see my guide here:

Quite easy really, you can buy the fillers from a toyota garage for ~£7 each.

If it's a pre-facelift then see some of the other replies/threads on this.

Ta.

btw for what it is worth the alpine units are good.

Hi, I'm after a screen as well however, I have been wondering what security options are available becuase you can't take the face off like a conventional head unit can you!

Thanks

I reckon i'd take even a well trained theif at least 4 mins to get the stereo out of a Celica (as long as its been fitted correctly!). 4 mins with the alarm blaring is probably enough to deter any theif from successfully getting it.

The only risk you really run is to have a not very bright one try it, smash your window and centre console up, then give in cos he hasn't got the right tools to do the rest.

To be honest even though I would like a screen like the above mentioned, i think the opportunist thief would end up causing more damage and hassle than what it's worth.

Especially where I end up having to park my car sometimes. 4 minutes to remove a car stereo I think some serious damage could be caused there.

Perhaps a motorised screen would be better for me?

I've got a JVC AVX-810, these have a removable screen which is handy if you feel you are parking in an "at risk" area.
