Toad Alarm....

Hi all.

Not sure if anyone here can help, but I'm having a slight problem with my alarm. I've only just bought the car, (Celica) and was going through it when I noticed that the boot courtesy light wasn't working, checked bulb, was ok, so I checked the switch at the catch location and noticed the the connection had been disconnected, so I duly connected it back up and hey presto it worked, happy chappy.

But now the alarm was going off about once every 4 or 5 hours, strange I thought, and annoying at 3 in the morning!

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I disconnected the connection again, and hey presto, the alarm is fine!!!???

And yes, the light does go out when I close the hatch, I checked this when I re-connected just in case someone had disconnected it for that reason.

And also on the alarm diagnosis, it comes up as movement inside vehicle, not door tampering, etc.

Anyway, I just leave the light not working now. But it irritates me that something that should be working, isn't.

It's a Laserline 996v3 alarm. I was thinking of getting a new switch for the boot? Any ideas other than resorting to that?
