Everyone probably has a dream car they would buy if money was no object, etc.

BUT ... what was the car you always wanted as a child?

I think there were two for me

Dream Car #1) The Dakari Jeep

daktari_jeep_sticker1.jpg

It wasn't so much that actual jeep, but the paint scheme - I would love those zebra stripes on a old pickup or something

Daktari was a great program :yes:

Dream Car #2) The Lotus Europa

That is the real thing above, but the reason it was my dream car is below ....

It was my Favourite Matchbox Car :yes:

(Maybe in a minority with my choices here.)

My absolute dream car from as early as I can remember is the Citroen DS.. Still is now, though it would depend on where I was living in the world to as which model of DS I would have.

That is actually ME sitting behind a DS.

Though my parents love of the Camry has somewhat rubbed off on me & I genuinely find the Camry (SXV20) extremely attractive still.

Had 3 of my favorites, Sierra Cosworth RS500, 1098cc MG Midget(Raced that one), MG Metro 6R4 ( only borrowed that one) but that was great fun especially in the wet.

Still waiting to drive the other 2. Genuine Cobra, and Lancia Stratos.

The Cobra and Midget go back to when i was at school.

Still a big kid at heart.

Apart from the fact that you could loose the rear end faster than you could say :help2: , and that after a few miles your feet were medium-to-well-done (thanks to the proximity of the exhaust) I agree this is the most beautiful motor. I spent a blissful couple of days in one, many, many years ago. It was red

Unforgettable
