Picnic Auto Fluid Top-up

Are there any instructions on getting transmission fluid on the Picnic 2.0 automatic to the right level? There is no info in the owner's manual (bad oversight!). The hot/cold difference is not the issue.

Should you check the level with the engine running? If yes, should the selector be in Drive, Neutral or other position?

And while I'm asking, does anyone else find that the level is very sensitive to the Picnic being on even a very slight slope?

Given the grave warnings about the perils of overfilling - or running on too little - I'd like to get this right. Thanks!

I don't know about the Picnic, but I have had a few automatics & the instructions were , invariably, to have the car on as level a situation as possible & to check when stone cold.

I should imagine that the Picnic should be the same

Pretty much the same theory as checking your oil level
