While Out Driving

One of my runs while driving is to deliver 20 tons of condensed milk to a place called Minsterley.

While passing through a village on the way I can’t help noticing a pub just off the main road and I always have a little titter to myself by imagining a couple who meet for the first time and arrange to go out.

It would probably go something like this:

Him: Hi.

Her: Hi

(Not much on conversation are they?)

Him: Fancy going out for a drink?

Her: Don’t mind

Him: I bet you would like (Name of the pub)

Her: *SLAP!!!*

Him: OUCH!!....But I was told you like (Name of the pub)

Her: *SLAP-PUNCH!!*

Him: OUCH!!!!....But one of your ex’s told me you like (Name of the pub)

Her: *SLAP-PUNCH-KICK (In the goolies)

Him: GROAN!!....I take it that’s a No then?

Not true.......I often have long and intelligent conversations with my sat-nav

Mine are limited to short sentences usually ending in off or up when she cuts my favorite song off

There is a Pub named The ***** , just outside my town They omitted the "Inn" part unfortunately. It claims to be one of the oldest Pubs in Ireland, dating from the 1300s, I think
