Colleagues, how long should the fuel injection for a Toyoita Mark II model 88-92 go without servicing or in other words what are the weak points for the Fuel Injection System for this car

Changing the Fuel filter and air filter at regular intervals and they are normally trouble free.

A big No No is to steam clean the engine bay - it forces water into all your electrical connecters(although they are quite well sealed)and corrodes the terminal pins and connecters which is a 'mare of a job to sort out.

I spent 2 days on a SW20,replacing block connecters and pins due to the dreaded "green rot" in them.

If the car has done more than about 70,000 miles - dont run the fuel out to the warning light - to avoid dragging up the rust flakes and water in the bottom of the tank, most Toyota injection systems run at about 33-44 psi and will drag what ever is in the bottom of the tank through the system - hence regular fuel filter changes !

Look after it and it wont let you down.
