I'm off to Amsterdam soon, this time its a holiday.

can anyone suggest something to do when I'm there

Why not .... it is an accepted tourist attraction

Agreed - it's a top night out in the Red light area, even if you're just pubbing/clubbing it.

They do have a very good Tourist Information at Amsterdam if you're unsure of what the city has to offer.

However, If you're taking a young lady then you could always ask her what she'd like to do ( just a thought ) - this way you don't have to take a chance or second guess anything !

Have to do a tour of the red lights in Hamsterjam - the GF would find it most interesting as well for sure.

If you like asian food, then there are a lot of indonesian resturants there - they all do an "indonesian rice table" (I think it is called) - like a buffet/meze and has to be tried.

Canal trips of course. And for a bit of history, there is the tour of the Anne Frank house
