Ecu Upgrade

I've just booked my 07 2.2D Verso in for it's 40K Service and have been told that Toyota have released an ECU upgrade, which will be applied during the service.

Does anyone know what the ECU upgrade is for, will my Verso now sprout wings and fly like Chitty?

It's been mentioned a few times on here, something to do with fueling and spurious warning lights coming on, some have noticed a mpg improvement, some not....

It does of course add an extra 4500 bhp and then yes you will fly like Chitty

Thanks for that.

Can't say I've noticed any spurious lights coming on but if it does something to improve the fuel gauge and improve its accuracy I'll be well chuffed.

The ECU upgrade remaps the ECU so that the dreaded DTC code 400, EGR fault should then not happen
