Help - Door Mirror Wanted (and Info On Exhaust)

A long shot.... but does any one have a passenger side door mirror for a 2002 RAV4?

The plastic molding holding the mirror to the door is broken, Toyota only do the complete assembly not just this part

also...

All the factor parts dealers I have contacted tell me there is no aftermarket replacement exhaust for the 1.8vvti 2wheel drive RAV4.

They say I will have to buy a genuine Toyota part.

The exhaust for a 2.0l 4x4 RAV4 looks very similar to my exhaust.......anyone know if a 2.0l petrol exhaust will fit on a 1.8vvti?

Not too desperate at the moment but I think we will need one at some time as the flange between the centre section and the back box looks a bit ripe!

Any help welcome.

Many thanks

Adrian

This place don't actually list a full mirror for your RAV - but it might be worth a phone call: http://www.wingmirrorman.co.uk/wing%20mirrors%20full.htm.

on the exhaust, you can get stainless jobbies made up at a lesser cost! And a decent garage can modify an exhaust if necessary - with both my RAVs, the first is a fully custom made job. The 2nd is the original RAV exhaust system modified to the MR2 3SGTE turbo set up. The difference is mainly noise....the 1st is a straight thru with limited silencing and I think its 2.5" to 3" diameter where the 2nd is the original with all the boxes and what looks like a 2" pipe.

Thank you all for the advice,

I had seen the item on eBay but some of the feedback put me off the seller.

I did get a stick on replacement glass off eBay for £8 inc. delivery so if the superglue holds on the mounting bracket I should be ok until I find a complete assembly.

Stainless steel system seems like a good option.

Thanks again

The only problem I had with my stainless system was it cracked towards the rear - but that was cos it was hitting off the rear on the standing 1/4 mile starts!! I got it repaired/replaced for free. Stainless steel is more rustfree but is also a bit more brittle - just in case you intended going serious off-roading!!
